Three Paul Bread Sandwiches Recipes Made by Cristina Mazilu, within "Bread Artists"


Paul bakeries and Cristina Mazilu, the author of the Mazilique.ro blog, organized the "Bread Artists" event on November 13th: a creative sandwich preparation session where 13 readers of the Mazilique.ro blog have proposed new recipes, using fresh ingredients and three types of bread from Paul - pain complet, pain platine and pain flamand complet. 

The participants, rewarded with the title "Bread Artists", were selected after a contest run on the Mazilique.ro blog. Cristina Mazilu launched the challenge with three sandwich recipes proposed by herself, using the three assortments of Paul bread: pain complet sandwich with carrot, raisins and humus, triple pain platine sandwich, and sandwich with beef prepared with pain flamand complet and shrimp salad. "As part of the Bread Artists project, initiated with Cristina Mazilu, we chose to show our consumers that bread can make spectacular dishes, easy to prepare and served. The three sandwich recipe proposals made by Cristina with Paul's breads can be quickly homemade to be eaten both in the morning and during the day as a delicious snack, "said Monica Eftimie, Chief Marketing Officer , Paul Romania.

"Most of the time, sandwiches are seen as boring and ordinary dishes. We tried to make them interesting, to use the creative ingredients in unusual combinations, helping us with textures, spices and a touch of imagination, "said Cristina Mazilu, author Mazilique.ro.

At the "Bread Artists" event, each participant put in the spotlight the bread from Paul by using it in his own sandwich recipe. The dishes have been created with Le pain complet - dense and dark-colored bread, perfect for breakfast, lightly fried and butter-filled; Le pain platine - perfect for toast with smoked ham, jambon or other delicacies, which is very good and can accompany all day meals from breakfast to dinner; Le pain 6 cereales - wheat flour, rye, oats, corn, flaxseed, wheat, barley, oats, sesame and corn, which goes very well with appetizers, cheese and meat.

The most talented "Bread Artists", winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the event, created the following sandwiches:

1st place - the "hot salmon" sandwich, made with smoked salmon, dried tomatoes, valerian leaves and mustard sauce with curry and coconut

2nd place - "Protein Healthy" sandwich, which combined cheese, bresaola, nuts and apple slices

3rd place - sandwich called "33", with mango chutney, brie cheese, parmesan, dried tomatoes, cucumber and rucola salad.
